New Official PCAT Practice Tests will be released in late April 2008.

The new Practice Test is full length and contains items like those that you will find on the actual PCAT.  The Practice Test offers a diagnostic score report that will show areas where you may need to study to improve your scores on the actual PCAT exam. The diagnostic score report will help identify strengths and weaknesses.  The score report contains composite and percentile scores and is aligned to the current PCAT blueprint and scaled score system.
The new PCAT Practice Test consists of 240 multiple-choice items from the same content areas tested on the PCAT:

• Part 1: Verbal Ability section contains 48 items.
• Part 2: Biology section contains 48 items.
• Part 3: Chemistry section contains 48 items.
• Part 4: Reading Comprehension section contains 48 items.
• Part 5: Quantitative Ability section contains 48 items

Please note that if you purchased a version of the Practice Test prior to April 2008, you may have seen some items on this Practice Test, which now appear along with many new items.

The Practice Tests provide detailed information about the Writing subtest.  Information is also available about how to compose essays and how they will be scored and reported.  Sample Writing topics and actual sample essays will give you an idea of what essays look like that have received different scores.

You may purchase access to one Practice Test for $40.00, a second Practice Test for $25.00 or you may purchase both for $57.00. You will be entitled to five PCAT multiple-choice subtests (not printable), with correct answers and explanations for each question, and a timer is provided if you choose to simulate timed conditions like the actual PCAT. You will also receive a Composite Diagnostic Report summarizing the results of the five Subtest Diagnostic Reports.  At any time while using the Practice Test, you may choose to score an individual subtest. Once you choose to score a subtest, you will be able to continue to review the questions and print out a Diagnostic Report as many times as you wish from your date of purchase until the end of the PCAT test cycle, which ends with the January PCAT test date. However, you will not be able to rescore any subtest. No refunds will be granted.
